What counts as a seat?
A seat is an owner or a team member: anyone on your side who logs in to do the work. You're billed per seat, per month, and you can add or remove seats anytime.
Are clients free?
Yes. Client accounts are always free guests: they never take a seat and you're never billed for them. Your plan only limits how many client portals you can have (Free includes 3; Pro and Business are unlimited).
Is the Free plan really free forever?
Yes, no trial, no card. Free includes up to 5 members, 3 client portals, 15 GB of storage, and the full team chat: channels, DMs, files, reactions and voice notes. Upgrade only when you need more.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your workspace drops back to Free, and nothing is deleted. You keep all your data; you just can't add past the Free limits until you upgrade again.
Can one client see another client's files?
Never. Each client only ever sees their own portal. That boundary is enforced by row-level security in the database itself, not just hidden in the interface.
Do I need a company email to sign up?
